The Andorran Council of Ministers has approved a grant of up to €125,000 for a single cinema project in the preparation or development phase during 2026.
The initiative, proposed by Culture, Youth and Sports Minister Mònica Bonell, supports the production of a feature-length fiction, documentary or animation film. It continues a funding line launched in 2019 for an audiovisual sector that has demonstrated notable activity in recent years.
Andorran companies registered for film or audiovisual production can apply. International productions qualify if at least 30% of the footage is filmed in Andorra, with 20% to 40% of the grant spent locally. Projects by Andorran directors or scriptwriters with a clear national connection and cultural interest are also eligible, even without local filming.
Application guidelines are available for free download on the ministry website. Submissions open online via the portal from 7 May to 8 June, closing at noon.
