La selección de futsal de Andorra completó una fase de grupos preliminar perfecta en las clasificatorias del Campeonato Mundial de Futsal en Hjørring, Dinamarca, al vencer al anfitrión Dinamarca 5-3 el sábado para liderar el grupo A con tres victorias en tres partidos.

Led by coach Talín Puyaltó, the Tricolors scored 20 goals while conceding just three across the tournament, securing their first-ever qualification for the Main Round. They opened with a historic 10-0 rout of Scotland at Park Vendia Hallen, Andorra's biggest victory in official or friendly matches. Josep Segura claimed a hat-trick, Adrià Blat netted twice, and single strikes came from Èric Mesquita, Brayan Pinto (also known as dos Santos), Christian Regalo, and Óscar San Segundo, plus an own goal by Scotland's Ahmed Aloulou. Puyaltó praised the defensive intensity and offensive efficiency, though he cautioned that tougher tests lay ahead against Malta and Denmark.

The next day, Andorra beat Malta 5-0 despite a 15-minute delay caused by the opponents' bus issues. Arnau Rodríguez scored in the second minute from a pass by his brother Oriol «Uri» Rodríguez, followed by Regalo's chip over keeper Clint Mifsud before halftime. Pinto added a third early in the second half, Mifsud was red-carded for fouling Claudi Bové, Segura curled in a long-range free kick, and Regalo completed his brace on a counterattack. The victory clinched Main Round qualification, but it turned bittersweet when Rodríguez ruptured his Achilles tendon 30 seconds from time—his second such injury after recovering from the other leg. Puyaltó called it a complete performance against a physically strong side that used a porter-jugador tactic late on, while lamenting the loss of a key captain. He highlighted the players' growth, saying they «deserve more recognition» for reaching this stage unbeaten.

Denmark's results—a 5-1 win over Malta and 3-1 over Scotland—set up the decisive finale. Andorra led through Bové and Regalo, but Denmark levelled twice at 2-2 and 3-3. Brayan dos Santos restored the lead, only for the hosts to equalise again before Oriol Rodríguez and Regalo's late strikes sealed the 5-3 win and group leadership.

Main Round opponents, potentially including Spain or Portugal, will be drawn in May.
