La Escola de Formació de Professions Esportives i de Muntanya (Efpem) celebró el martes una ceremonia de graduación en la que otorgó títulos a 57 nuevos educadores deportivos de nivel 2 en esquí alpino, snowboard y montañismo. Los graduados, de las cohortes 2023-2026, incluían 35 en esquí alpino, nueve en snowboard y 13 en montañismo.
nThe event, attended by Head of Government Xavier Espot and Minister for Institutional Relations, Education and Universities Ladislau Baró, underscored the school's rigorous standards. With around 200 students passing through Efpem each year, only a fraction complete the programme, highlighting its prestige and selectivity.
nEspot emphasised sport's role in advancing health, wellbeing, and social cohesion. He stressed that investing in training and professionalisation ensures safe, inclusive practices tailored to Andorra's needs. Sport, he added, becomes a powerful educational tool when guided by experts who mentor, direct, and instil values.
nBaró praised the programme's demanding nature and noted the new Cal Masover facility in La Cortinada as a vital upgrade. The site bolsters Efpem's operations and supports more than 80 collaborating trainers.
nThe ceremony also marked the official launch of the Cal Masover headquarters, strengthening the school's infrastructure. Looking ahead, Efpem aims to stabilise its offerings in the new space, contribute to the Andorran Sports Qualifications Framework, promote value-based education through sport—particularly for children—and deepen ties with national sports federations to train coaches.
