Connectand Delivers 1,000kg Food Donation to Andorra's Creu Roja

Connectand, the corporate volunteering programme supported by Creand, SETAP365 and Caldea, has delivered 1,000 kilograms of food to the Creu Roja's Solidària Shop in Andorra la Vella this week.

The contribution, gathered through a Christmas Solidarity Campaign with participation from staff at the three companies, will support 79 families across the country—equivalent to 141 individuals.

This initiative forms part of Connectand's broader social programme during the festive season. It has also partnered with residential homes and day centres to host Christmas workshops and assist with organising and serving holiday meals.

Launched last September, Connectand encourages employee engagement in local volunteering efforts within Andorra. The programme now has more than 100 registered volunteers from the partner companies, reflecting their commitment to community value and employee wellbeing.

The donation aligns with wider Christmas drives by Creu Roja Andorrana, which has run nine food collection campaigns in collaboration with schools, associations and businesses. These efforts, involving collection points at sites such as the Centre Comercial Andorrà, E.Leclerc Hyper Andorra and Caprabo outlets, aim to bolster the Solidària Shop's stocks amid heightened family needs during the holidays.

Creu Roja coordinator Carine Leclerc noted the period's increased expenses, stating the goal is to reinforce food supplies and aid families facing economic challenges. Overall, such campaigns are set to assist 67 families, or 122 people, with basic foodstuffs like pasta, rice and oil, alongside festive items and hygiene products. Additional support targets elderly individuals through home-delivered Christmas hampers in partnership with the Lliga.
