Police in Encamp arrested a 63-year-old man on Saturday afternoon after he caused a collision with material damage on Carrer dels Cortals, left the scene without providing details, and was stopped minutes later driving with a blood alcohol level of 3.37 grams per litre.

Officers located the driver shortly after the incident, administered a breathalyser test confirming the reading, and detained him on suspicion of a traffic safety offence. No injuries were reported in the crash.

The case was one of six drink-driving arrests over the weekend. The other five drivers, aged 21 to 44, tested positive at levels between 0.87 and 1.48 grams per litre.

In other incidents, police late Sunday stopped a 53-year-old man at the Riu Runer border crossing while driving on a suspended licence, charging him with an offence against the administration of justice.

On Friday morning at the same border post, officers arrested a 27-year-old tourist entering Andorra in possession of 1.3 grams of cocaine, suspecting a public health violation. Separately in Pas de la Casa, authorities detained a 33-year-old non-resident for breaching an expulsion order, facing charges related to an offence against public function.
