A fight broke out early Sunday morning at a nightclub near the KM0 roundabout, leaving one man with a bloodied face and prompting police to investigate conflicting accounts from those involved.
Officers on a routine patrol spotted the injured man outside the venue around dawn. He had a cut above one eyebrow and was bleeding heavily from the nose. He claimed another patron had assaulted him inside the club.
Staff at the establishment, however, told police they had ejected the man for disruptive behaviour that was bothering other customers. The victim was able to point out a suspect, but the two sides gave starkly opposing versions of events.
No witnesses corroborated either account. Police initially detained the alleged aggressor for checks but released him after finding no matching testimony. The man had no visible injuries, while his accuser clearly did.
