Acció Feminista has called for a return to street protests on International Women's Day, 8 March, to press for abortion rights, an end to gender-based violence, and economic equality. The group describes the current moment as one of "involution" in women's rights, both globally and locally, with abortion still unavailable in Andorra.

In an announcement on X, the collective highlighted that women must continue travelling abroad—often to Catalonia—for the procedure, facing what it called "institutional violence" through official silences, delays, and unfulfilled promises. Activists demanded the "right to decide over our bodies," lives free from macho violence, genuine equality including in economic and labour spheres, and rights for all women. They pledged to reclaim public spaces, rejecting constant oversight of their freedoms.

The march is set for Sunday, 8 March, starting at 11am from Plaça de la Rotonda in Andorra la Vella and proceeding to Plaça Coprínceps in Escaldes-Engordany. Speeches there will address the gender pay gap, structural inequalities, and reproductive rights.

Last year, no local demonstration took place as Acció Feminista joined a Barcelona protest to spotlight Andorran women's need to seek abortions outside the Principality. The government, Comúns, and other institutions held online awareness campaigns instead.

This year marks a shift back to local action, alongside a broader programme of events from various organisations, with further details expected soon. The Associació de Dones d'Andorra plans videos and a roundtable discussion, plus a pre-8M conference titled "Women leading AI: A new superpower for an ethical digital society," featuring AI professor Karina Gibert and innovation and cybersecurity specialist Mònica Espinosa.

The Institut Andorrà de les Dones has two events lined up for 3 and 6 March in partnership with the Spanish and French embassies, with the full schedule to follow.
