Andorran Editorial Slams Parliament's Fear-Mongering Debates

A recent editorial in *El Periòdic d'Andorra* has criticised the quality of debate in the Consell General, Andorra's parliament, arguing that fear-mongering and caricature are replacing substantive arguments.

Published on 19 March 2026, the piece contends that speeches by general councillors carry significant institutional weight, serving as a measure of the country's democratic maturity. Councillors, it states, must represent citizens by developing robust, coherent positions capable of tackling complex issues with rigour and forward-thinking vision.
