Germany Sweeps Andorra 6-0 in Futsal Friendly Double-Header

Germany defeated Andorra's futsal national team 6-0 in the second friendly match at the Serradells pavilion on Friday evening, completing a double-header sweep after Thursday's 3-0 win.

In the latest encounter, Andorra competed with organisation and intensity during the first half under coach Talín Puyaltó. Two pinpoint errors allowed Germany to take the lead, however, and the visitors capitalised despite Andorra generating chances to narrow the gap that went unconverted. The second half saw Andorra's rhythm and competitiveness drop, enabling a superior Germany to add further goals and round off the scoreline.

The Friday match featured the debut of pivot Paco Domínguez, following Claudi Bové's bow the previous day. Earlier on Thursday, Germany had opened the scoring in the eighth minute through Herterich and dominated proceedings, despite Andorra's disciplined defence. Puyaltó's timeout prompted a response, with Roc Torres and standout Adri Blat creating near-equalising opportunities, though Germany led 1-0 at halftime before scoring three more times after the break.

Puyaltó had described Germany beforehand as a formidable opponent bolstered by players of Brazilian and Argentine origin. Andorra lined up without retired player Guillem Castro or injured duo Marc Massana and Arnau Rodríguez, but welcomed back Omar Ávila alongside the new faces.

The tests against the rising European side provided valuable preparation. Andorra has been drawn with Denmark, Malta, and Scotland in the preliminary round of the 2026 Futsal World Cup qualifiers, scheduled for April 2026.
