The Andorra la Vella town council opened registrations on Tuesday, 9 December, for sports and leisure activities during the Christmas school holidays for children and young people aged 2 to 13. The programmes run in multiple sessions from 22 December to 5 January, offering a total of 390 places, and are organised by the Departments of Sports and Social Affairs in collaboration with the parish’s sports clubs.
The sports programme includes five holiday camps: a Multisports Camp for 8–10 year‑olds; a football camp for 5–12 year‑olds; a rhythmic gymnastics camp for 5–13 year‑olds; a skating camp for 6–12 year‑olds; and a basketball camp for 5–11 year‑olds.
The Department of Social Affairs will run the El Llamp children’s centre and the Santa Coloma playroom, both aimed at 2–7 year‑olds, as well as the Llamp Multisports programme, which combines leisure activities and sports for 8–10 year‑olds.
Separately, the municipality’s Christmas Festivals will take place from 11 to 21 December and are expected to bring together 2,272 children across 17 sporting events. The programme features a wide range of disciplines, including basketball, judo, padel, skating, swimming, chess, football, handball, volleyball, rugby, skateboarding, hockey, skiing and gymnastics.
