**Andorra to Host FC Barcelona Presidential Election Polling Station Again**

Andorra will host one of five polling stations for FC Barcelona members to vote in the club's presidential election on Sunday, March 15. The Catalan giant announced the decentralized voting setup today, mirroring the 2021 model but with key changes to boost turnout.

Unlike the previous election—conducted amid Covid-19 restrictions like mask mandates and social distancing—soccer authorities have cited uncertainty over whether the first team will play at Camp Nou that day as a main reason for repeating the format. Andorra's roughly 1,000 club members represent the highest per capita membership worldwide, further justifying the decision.

Polling sites will span Barcelona's headquarters, Andorra, and the Catalan provincial capitals of Lleida, Girona, and Tarragona. While the exact Andorran venue remains unconfirmed, the Centre de Congressos in Andorra la Vella served that role in 2021. This time, the voter roll is universal: any eligible member can choose from the five locations, unlike before when addresses determined assignments. Postal voting, used by about 100 Andorrans last time, will not be available.

In 2021, Joan Laporta, now seeking re-election, dominated locally with 59.5% of votes (263 out of 442) at the Centre de Congressos. Runner-up Víctor Font received 128 votes, followed by Toni Freixa with 41; there were eight blank and three null ballots. Candidates are expected to campaign in Andorra during the pre- or main election period, as in past contests. Laporta held a final pre-vote event at Parc Central in Andorra la Vella and visited recently as incumbent president. Font, a contender this year, presented his platform in Escaldes-Engordany in October 2020.
