Andorra's team claimed victory in the 34th Trofeu Borrufa ski competition, topping the team standings despite severe weather disruptions that forced a last-minute venue switch.
The event concluded at the Esparver piste in El Tarter sector of Grandvalira, after poor conditions closed Ordino Arcalís earlier in the week. Organizers managed to run eight races—two runs each in U14 and U16 giant slalom for both boys and girls—though a super giant slalom and team event were cancelled. The Andorran delegation secured six medals overall (one gold, two silver, three bronze) and 14 podium finishes, with a standout final day yielding one gold, one silver, and six podiums.
Andorra 1 won the team classification with 194 points, ahead of France 1 on 141 and Spain 1 on 133. Andorra 2 placed fourth with 102 points. Top Andorran performers were Emma Guitard and Ot Cusidó in U14, and Paula Ledesma and Aiden Grard in U16.
In the U16 boys' giant slalom, Aiden Grard took gold in 1:47.03, with teammate Aitor Corbalán earning silver just 0.08 seconds behind at 1:47.11. France's Jules Perefarres was third (+0.65), followed by Simeon Garcia Essique (+1.31) and Bulgaria's Yordan Stoychev (+1.38). Other strong Andorran showings included Pol Xampeny (7th), Thomas Breiftuss (9th), Manel Romo (10th), and Íker Cerdà (11th).
The U16 girls' event went to Bulgaria's Lilia Hadzhistoyanova in 1:46.75, with Spain's Paula Carrascosa second (+3.27) and Britain's Darcey Davies third (+3.35). Paula Ledesma finished fourth (+3.37), Júlia Capdevila fifth (+3.89), Jana Ferrer 10th, and Emma Soto 11th.
In U14 girls, Spain's Lidia González Vaquero won in 1:49.51, ahead of Hungary's Gerda Kovari (+0.70) and Britain's Silvia Curtis (+2.15). Emma Guitard placed fourth (+2.68), with Júlia Pifarrer sixth (+3.76). The U14 boys' podium featured Argentina's Máximo Guaricuyu Beno first (1:48.49), Spain's Pol Arroniz second (+0.66), and Argentina's Tommy Oseas Tossen third (+1.84). Marcel Marot was fifth (+3.09), Kim Ambor sixth, and Martí Fernández ninth.
Race director Àlex Antor described the outcome as positive, noting the team delivered four races amid adverse weather. "It was a shame we couldn't use the excellent conditions at Ordino Arcalís earlier in the week," he said, praising Grandvalira's flexibility and the efforts of volunteers and staff in handling daily changes. No injuries were reported, and the closing ceremony took place in Ordino's main square.
