Andorran skier Gina del Rio is set to compete this weekend at the World Cup sprint event in Falun, Sweden, before heading straight to the Under-23 World Championships in Lillehammer, Norway.
After returning to Andorra for rest and training following the Olympics, del Rio travelled to Sweden last Saturday to rebuild her competition rhythm. She will race only in Saturday's skating-style sprint, with qualifications at 13:00 and finals at 15:30. She plans to depart for Norway the same day.
In Lillehammer, del Rio faces a packed schedule at the Under-23 Championships: the skating sprint on Tuesday, March 3; the 20km mass start skating race on Thursday, March 5; and the 10km individual classic on Saturday, March 7.
