Andorran freerider Joan Aracil finished ninth in the fourth round of the FWT Challenger series, the Open Face Obertauren Challenger in Austria.
The event took place yesterday, earning Aracil 1,770 points that lifted him to 19th in the overall standings. Before heading to upcoming competitions in Italy and France, the rider expressed satisfaction with the result despite knowing he could have pushed harder on the descent.
"I am happy with this ninth place even though I know I could have done more on the run, but I wanted to play it safe a bit after so many falls this season and regain some confidence," Aracil said.
His next outings are the Monterosa Freeride Paradise Challenger in Italy from March 26 to 29, followed by the Le Sauze South Line Series Challenger in France from April 2 to 5.
