Rius, competing for the Andorran Ski Federation (FAE), finished ahead of teammate Bartumeu Bartu Gabriel, who took second place 0.52 seconds behind. French skier Leo Llorach rounded out the podium in third, 1.38 seconds off the pace.
Other strong Andorran performances included Pirmin Estruga in fifth for a top-10 finish, Jan Visa in ninth, and Pere Cornella in tenth.
In a separate event, FAE skier Íria Medina placed 35th in the second giant slalom of the Europa Cup at Oberjoch, Germany, with a time of 1:53.28. She is next scheduled to race on 12 and 13 February at Les Diablerets in Switzerland.
