Spanish cyclist Iván Romeo, a rising star with Movistar, has recently relocated to Andorra along with his partner, fellow Movistar rider Cat Ferguson.
The 22-year-old from Valladolid, who claimed the 2024 world under-23 time trial title, confirmed the move in an interview with Cadena COPE, stating he had arrived in the Principality just a short time ago.
Romeo joins a growing community of professional cyclists based in Andorra, including several Movistar teammates such as team leader Enric Mas. His arrival bolsters the roster of elite riders choosing the country as a training and residence hub.
Last year marked Romeo's debut at the Tour de France, which he could not finish after a crash. He has started the current season strongly, securing the overall victory at the Volta a Andalusia.
Ferguson, also a Movistar cyclist, has moved with him, further strengthening Andorra's appeal to the professional peloton.
