Andorra's Employment Rate Hits 82.4% in Q4 2025, Unemployment Steady at 1.8%

Andorra's employment rate for the 15-64 age group stood at 82.4% in the fourth quarter of 2025, up 0.7 points from Q4 2024 and 0.3 points from Q3 2025, the statistics department reports. This equates to 53,891 employed people, including 44,463 salaried workers who comprised 82.5% of those in work—a 0.1-point annual gain but a 0.7-point quarterly drop.

Employment trends diverged by gender. Men's rate rose 1.3 points year-on-year and 0.9 points quarterly, while women's increased 0.2 points annually but fell 0.3 points from the previous quarter.

Unemployment for the 15-74 active population remained at 1.8%, affecting 1,054 people—a 0.4-point rise both annually and quarterly. Male unemployment declined 0.2 points year-on-year and 0.1 points quarterly, but the female rate climbed 1.2 points annually and 1.1 points from Q3.

Inactivity touched 15.9% of the 15-64 group, or 10,419 individuals, down 1.3 points year-on-year and 0.7 points quarterly. Male inactivity fell 1.1 points annually and 0.7 points quarterly; the female rate eased 1.3 points over the year and 0.6 points from Q3.

New breakdowns by age highlight youth trends: employment for 15-24-year-olds gained 3.5 points annually and 0.1 points quarterly, while their unemployment surged 8.5 points year-on-year and 9.7 points quarterly. Youth inactivity dropped 6.3 points annually and 3.1 points from Q3.

Andorra's 1.8% unemployment trails neighbours: Spain at 9.9%, France at 8.1%, and EU-27 at 5.9%. Annually, Andorra, France, and EU-27 saw rises of 0.4, 0.7, and 0.2 points; Spain fell 0.7 points. Quarterly, Andorra and France increased by 0.4 and 0.2 points, while Spain and EU-27 declined 0.6 and 0.1 points.
