ACTINN Announces 10th INNTEC Jornades on Society 5.0, Smart Mobility and Elderly Care Innovations

ACTINN has announced the 10th edition of its INNTEC Jornades, set for May 4 and 5 at the Consòrcia hall in Andorra la Vella's Congress Centre. The free event will focus on Society 5.0 principles, smart mobility, connected infrastructures, and health innovations, particularly for elderly care and the Silver Economy.

Organised by the ACTINN cluster, the two-day programme targets public and private sector experts to discuss technology's role in sustainability, welfare, and business growth. President Albert Moles described the goal as building local knowledge and expanding firms within Andorra's robust economy, as noted by the IMF, while nurturing new sectors. He stressed that companies should invest in innovation for quick returns, with each euro in technology yielding the equivalent of ten euros in traditional infrastructure. Moles also highlighted networking's value, crediting the past decade's events with sparking collaborations and client-driven projects to boost competitiveness.

The agenda includes three keynote speeches, eight roundtables, and the ACTINN Awards 2025 presentation, honouring BLIT ENTERTAINMENT, SL for its innovative work.

On May 4, sessions will cover sustainability, smart multimodal mobility, adaptive transport, and connected systems, including drone uses and transitions to autonomous electric vehicles. Speakers include Roger Font of Eurecat, Oriol Bossa of i2cat, José Luis García of Worldsatnet, Lara Iglesia of Pirineos Drone Aviation, and Secretary of State for Energy Transition, Transport and Mobility David Forné. Three roundtables will address urban service innovations, smart country technologies, and high-mountain mobility challenges.

May 5 shifts to wellbeing, digital health, biotechnology, and Silver Economy solutions for those over 55, such as teleassistance devices and smartwatches that detect falls. Keynotes feature Daniel Esteban Ferrer of VRAIn, Ángel G. Álvarez of VidaCord, Ignasi Martín of ACTINN, and Rober Valdés of Cuideo. Two roundtables will explore health tech trends and care models for ageing populations. General director Ignasi Martín noted the rise of firms using technology to meet seniors' needs, helping bridge the digital divide and extend healthy lifespans. Entities like the Red Cross and SAAS will showcase practical applications.
