Andorra's Tourism and Commerce Minister Jordi Torres and ministry director Cristel Molné met this week with the new board of Skål Club d’Andorra at the ministry offices in Andorra la Vella.
The session introduced the leadership team, headed by president Joaquim Barceló and vice presidents David Santuré and Joaquim Caspe. Members outlined their annual events schedule, aimed at strengthening ties among tourism professionals through programs spanning culture, business, leisure and sports—areas vital to the Principality's economy.
Talks centred on the World Tourism Day celebration set for 27 September. Torres urged the group to keep spearheading the event and pledged the government's "unwavering support" to establish it as a flagship national initiative.
Both sides underscored the need for tighter collaboration across the sector. Barceló thanked the ministry for its ongoing backing, noting that the 44-year-old Skål Club is Andorra's oldest association for tourism leaders. It brings together executives from hospitality, travel agencies, transport, restaurants and consultancies, playing a key role in developing industry networks.
