  • Drew 17% more cardholders (3,736) with 21% higher average spend of €146 per client
  • 10% rebate on purchases at 295 outlets succeeded despite Andorra's 13.5% February retail sales drop
  • French RN-20 road closure contributed to nationwide sales decline of 12.1% food, 24.1% fuels

MoraBanc's campaign to support Pas de la Casa commerce ended with a 42% rise in client spending, reaching €548,000 from 24 February to 31 March, despite a challenging winter season marked by a 13.5% drop in Andorra's retail sales for February.

The promotion offered a 10% rebate on purchases using the bank's cards at 295 participating outlets. It drew 3,736 cardholders—a 17% increase from the previous year—with average spending per client up 21% to €146.

The initiative aimed to boost economic activity in Pas de la Casa amid difficulties, including the closure of the French RN-20 road linking to the parish from 31 January to 9 March. That disruption contributed to February's nationwide retail sales decline, reported by the Statistics Department, with drops of 12.1% in food, 7.3% in other products, and 24.1% in fuels. At constant prices, the fall sharpened to 14.3% overall.

MoraBanc highlighted the results as evidence of its commitment to Andorra's commercial fabric and local economy, crediting strong client engagement. The bank views support for retail as a key strategic priority, especially in tough periods.
