Andorra la Vella council has approved 11 housing assistance grants since the start of 2026, totaling €7,166.82.

Out of 13 applications received for economic housing benefits, 11 met the eligibility criteria. These included one grant to cover a housing deposit, two one-off rental payments, four to address unpaid rent, and four for essential household equipment. The remaining two requests were rejected for failing to satisfy the required conditions.

The council's housing benefits programme supports parish residents and families facing temporary challenges in securing or maintaining their primary residence, as well as covering related basic needs. Officials emphasise that the initiative provides targeted, proactive aid to address vulnerabilities before they escalate into more serious issues.

For comparison, in 2025 the council processed 18 such applications, disbursing a total of €10,245.92.
