Andorra Lottery Shop Distributes €600,000 Spanish National Prize

Loteries El Mag, the lottery administration numbered 2 in Andorra la Vella, has distributed €600,000 from the first prize of Spain's National Lottery draw 042 held on Saturday. Located on Carrer Doctor Nequi but practically adjoining Plaça de les Arcades, the outlet sold an entire series—10 tenths—of the winning number 70.272, with each tenth worth €60,000.

Owner Àngel Garcia confirmed all tenths were sold over the counter on the day the number arrived that Monday morning. Though not among the administration's usual subscribed numbers, it drew strong local interest. "We're delighted because the prize went to people in need from the neighbourhood," Garcia said, noting that six winners had already stopped by to express thanks, while others came to congratulate staff and buy more tickets.

There was initial uncertainty whether the tickets went to walk-in customers or regulars from a nearby bar who might have resold them, but it was confirmed as direct window sales. Garcia described it as the outlet's first major National Lottery payout, despite past successes with other games like La Primitiva. "At last we've given out a big prize from the Spanish National Lottery," he added, emphasising the boost to future sales without seeking undue attention.

The same number was also sold at lottery offices in Badalona, Barcelona, Puerto de Santa María in Cádiz, Maó, Puerta de Segura in Jaén, Valdemoro near Madrid, and three locations in Seville province, including two in the city itself and one nearby.
