The Andorran government held the closing ceremony for the 26th edition of the Taller d'Emprenedors programme on Tuesday at the University of Andorra's auditorium, presenting diplomas to 18 participants and prizes to six top business projects.

Presided over by Marc Saura, Secretary of State for Business, Economic Diversification and Innovation, and university rector Juli Minoves, the event capped a programme that received 45 applications. Organisers selected 22 candidates for training, with 18 completing the course and pitching their ventures to a jury.

The projects covered a wide range, including professional services, wellness, logistics, tech applications, artificial intelligence, digital marketing, and personal care, reflecting the diversity of Andorra's entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Saura congratulated participants on their effort and dedication, emphasising entrepreneurship's importance in fostering economic diversification, innovation, and new opportunities. He pointed out that some are already taking steps to launch their businesses, demonstrating the programme's value in transforming ideas into real enterprises.

The awards went to:

- First prize (€4,000): Mario Giménez for "Xarxa resilient de comunicació sense fil" (Resilient wireless communication network).

- Second prize (€2,000): Meritxell Flores for an app facilitating collective parcel transport.

- Third prize (€1,000): Júlia Lima for specialised childcare services.

- Fourth prize (€800): Miryam Cámara for "Coaching i psicologia personal i professional" (Personal and professional coaching and psychology).

- Fifth prize (€600): Rubén Moral for "Portal d'informació premarket per a petits inversors" (Premarket information portal for small investors).

- Most innovative project (€2,000): Cora Baena for "Guia creativa per a emprenedors" (Creative guide for entrepreneurs).

Minoves took part in the opening and diploma presentations, underscoring the links between higher education, innovation, and business development. The government initiative offers specialised training and guidance to help participants evaluate project viability and gain skills for launching ventures.
