Andorra Approves €100K Grants for 2026 Circular Economy Projects

Andorran officials launch grants for companies and groups advancing circularity to enhance resource efficiency, cut waste, and foster sustainable business growth. Separate €20K arts scholarships aid young talents' international training.

Key Points

  • €100,000 funding supports circular economy initiatives like innovation, sustainability, green jobs, and awareness.
  • Grants cover up to 50% of costs, max €30,000 per business project; applications open post-BOPA publication until Oct 30, 2026 or funds gone.
  • Minister Guillem Casal: Initiative protects environment, boosts business competitiveness and growth.
  • €20,000 youth arts scholarships for ages 12-25 open; apply by Aug 3 via electronic headquarters.

The Andorran government has approved a €100,000 funding programme to support circular economy projects in 2026, as announced by the government's spokesperson minister after the Council of Ministers meeting.

Environment, Agriculture and Livestock Minister Guillem Casal highlighted the initiative's role in protecting the environment and biodiversity while boosting the competitiveness of local businesses and creating growth opportunities. He described circular economy efforts as "a key lever not only to protect the environment and biodiversity, but also to strengthen the productivity fabric and open new growth opportunities."

The grants target companies, associations, and professional groups developing circularity-linked activities, such as innovative projects, sustainable economic ventures, green job generation, and awareness efforts. Funding will cover up to 50% of eligible costs, with a maximum of €30,000 for business-led initiatives. Officials seek projects that improve resource use, reduce waste, and limit environmental harm to build a more sustainable and competitive economy.

Applications open the day after publication in the Official Bulletin of the Principality of Andorra (BOPA) and close when funds are depleted or on October 30, 2026, whichever occurs first.

At the same briefing, the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports opened the fifth edition of scholarships for young artistic talents aged 12 to 25. The €20,000 total pot—unchanged from last year—aims to aid their growth, secure advanced training at international centres, and support entry into overseas competitions.

Selections follow a competitive process evaluating academic merit, artistic background, and project viability. Candidates must apply through the government's electronic headquarters by August 3.
