Andorra Shuts Down 2026 Digitalisation Programme After €500K Fully Allocated to 178 Firms

Andorra's government has closed its 2026 Business Digitalisation Programme after distributing the entire €500,000 budget to 178 companies that adopted 368 digital solutions to advance their operations.

The initiative, launched on 8 April, received 181 applications for digital tools and support services before the funds were depleted. Officials have now ended the application period, although a few requests await final approval and rollout. Provisional data indicate the budget has been fully assigned.

Micro-enterprises accounted for 69% of recipients, small businesses 27%, medium-sized firms 3%, and large companies 1%. Among the 176 approved applications, firms typically sought two or three solutions each.

Artificial intelligence solutions led demand with 85 requests, followed by website development at 70 and SEO/SEM services at 58. Strong interest also appeared in ERP/CRM systems, digital training, process digitisation, and cloud storage and collaboration services—a new addition this year that ranked among the top ten options.

This edition introduced five new digital solutions, adjusted subsidy rates, and prioritised micro- and small enterprises by size. Government officials highlight the quick exhaustion of funds as evidence of robust demand for tech upgrades, especially AI options added in 2025 to boost competitiveness.

Applications submitted before the closure notice in the BOPA gazette will continue processing under the original rules. Executives view the results as validation of the programme's role in promoting modernisation and innovation across Andorran businesses.
