Andorra and Barcelona Skål Clubs Hold First Board Meeting to Boost Tourism Ties

The Skål Club d’Andorra and Skål Ciudad Condal from Barcelona have convened their inaugural board meeting to forge stronger links and identify collaboration prospects in tourism.

Presidents Joaquim Barceló of the Andorran club and Filo López of the Barcelona club guided the session, where they exchanged details on projects, member experiences and prospective joint ventures. Both groups highlighted their geographical closeness and professional commonalities as foundations for fresh synergies and cooperative efforts.

Discussions touched on a potential twinning arrangement between the clubs. Members’ travel perks between the two locations and coordinated events also surfaced as priorities.

Barceló welcomed the session, stating it revealed aligned objectives and a unified perspective on Skål’s benefits for associates. Becoming sister clubs, he added, would elevate the Andorran club’s global standing and unlock additional prospects for its members.

The organisations have both intensified their schedules of late. Skål Ciudad Condal, under López, has prioritised more member gatherings, while the Andorran counterpart has broadened its networking options.

Barceló extended an invitation to the Barcelona board for a visit to Andorra on 27 September, coinciding with World Tourism Day. The trip aims to showcase local club activities and further collaboration ideas.

Marcela González, secretary of Skål Ciudad Condal, and Raymond Juan, adviser to the Skål Club d’Andorra, also took part.

This encounter establishes the initial official board dialogue, setting the stage for expanded partnerships among tourism experts from the two areas.
