Andorra Diesel Prices Surge 11% in August, 33% Above Last Year

Diesel fuel prices in Andorra rose sharply during August 2026, with automotive diesel averaging €1.636 per litre after an 11.4% monthly increase from July, according to the government's statistics department. Premium diesel followed closely with an 11.2% gain, reaching €1.667 per litre.

Gasoline prices increased more modestly, as 95-octane fuel hit €1.507 per litre following a 2.9% rise, while 98-octane reached €1.568 per litre with a 2.8% uptick.

Heating diesel variants saw strong monthly advances too: domestic heating diesel climbed 9.5% to €1.365 per litre, and store-sold heating diesel rose 10.2% to €1.326 per litre.

Year-on-year, the hikes were steeper across the board compared to August 2025. Store-sold heating diesel led with a 51.1% surge, followed by domestic heating diesel at 45.8%. Automotive diesel stood 33% higher, premium diesel 32.1% above last year, 95-octane gasoline 14.9% more costly, and 98-octane 14.2% pricier.

Over the first eight months of 2026 versus the same period in 2025, automotive diesel gained 20.2%, premium diesel 19.6%, 95-octane gasoline 9.2%, 98-octane 8.8%, domestic heating diesel 27%, and store-sold heating diesel 29.3%.

Looking at the past 12 months against the prior period, automotive diesel rose 12.7%, premium diesel 12.2%, 95-octane gasoline 4.7%, 98-octane 4.5%, domestic heating diesel 17.7%, and store-sold heating diesel 19.2%.

All fuel types recorded gains from July 2026 levels, though seasonally adjusted figures show a moderating trend for automotive diesel and minor drops for gasoline grades.
