The AndUp Foundation held its first Founders' Breakfast on Thursday in Andorra la Vella, gathering leaders from its eight inaugural scaleups—Byte Travel, Cellab, City Xerpa, Commençal, Nuitée, Onalabs, Rapidand, and 4Mediks—along with board members, management, and experts in funding and artificial intelligence.
The session allowed participants to identify main challenges and priorities for the coming six months, including customer acquisition, sales growth, and strategies for integrating AI into their operations across evolving sectors. These needs shaped the morning's program.
Olivier Dheur, founder of Nuitée, discussed his experience securing capital and drawing investors such as Accel. Núria Rocamora, director at MyInvestor, highlighted successful AI uses in financial services. Eric Risco, AI specialist and tech lead at Andorra Telecom, provided practical advice on applying the technology in diverse industries.
The event ended with an open roundtable to create a shared, collaborative roadmap for the scaleups. AndUp, launched a few months ago by Andbank to accelerate startups and firms beyond early stages toward scalable growth with real economic and social impact in Andorra, now includes a network of more than 30 startups and 20 mentors. It offers full support to these eight scaleups as the starting point for its activity plan.
Director Vanesa Arroyo stressed the foundation's approach of starting by listening to founders. She said their key challenges—increasing sales and incorporating AI—will define the roadmap ahead.
