Andorra's CASS adds secure verification codes to electronic pension documents

The social security fund has begun attaching Secure Verification Codes to official documents, starting with around 280 invalidity pension resolutions due this month.

Key Points

  • CASS documents now carry a unique Secure Verification Code that can be checked at cass.ad/csv.
  • The first coded documents are resolutions modifying invalidity pensions, with about 280 notifications expected in October.
  • The system will extend to other documents in the insured person's portal, including the points statement.
  • Director general Josep Escoriza linked the change to the CASS Arrel 2026-2028 strategic plan.

The Caixa Andorrana de Seguretat Social (CASS) has begun adding a Secure Verification Code (CSV) to its electronic documents so that recipients can confirm their authenticity, the fund said. The system went live this week.

Each document carries a unique code. By entering it at cass.ad/csv, users can view the original resolution, complete with the signature of the competent body, at any time and on any device, and check that it has not been altered. The CASS said this means insured people no longer depend solely on the copy they were sent and can consult official versions online.

The first documents to carry the code are resolutions modifying invalidity pensions, with around 280 notifications expected during October. Over the coming weeks the system will be extended progressively to other documents in the private area of the insured person's portal, including the points statement.

Director general Josep Escoriza called the change a further step in the CASS's modernisation process and said it would make access to official documentation easier.

The initiative forms part of the CASS's Arrel 2026-2028 strategic plan, which focuses on digitalising its services and strengthening the security of the documents it issues.
