The Andorran government has approved the minting of euro coins for 2026, with a total face value of 6,039,160 euros, as part of the monetary agreement with the European Union that enables the principality to issue its own currency since 2014.
The programme covers 7,959,000 coins for general circulation across all eight denominations. It also includes two limited-edition 2-euro commemorative coins, with 60,000 units each, plus 7,000 collector's sets featuring the full range of denominations.
Spain's Fábrica Nacional de Moneda y Timbre – Real Casa de la Moneda – will handle production, following the established rotation with France's Monnaie de Paris. The Italian firm LADA snc di Maniglio Paolo & C will manage packaging, presentation cases, and finishing work. To fund the entire process, the government has authorised expenditure of 1,194,851 euros.
