Andorra's Council of Ministers has approved a package of aid measures to compensate retail businesses in Pas de la Casa for losses stemming from the RN-20 road closure caused by a landslide.
The support package will be detailed this afternoon during a press conference following this morning's Council meeting. Among the proposed initiatives, first reported by Diari d'Andorra, are exemptions from indirect general tax (IGI) payments and worker social security contributions. The government also plans to launch a line of soft loans, a tool previously deployed during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The measures address the severe impact on Pas de la Casa's commercial sector, where the blocked road has severely restricted access and trade.
In a separate development, the Council toured newly renovated spaces in the government's administrative building. The overhaul, covering 1,448.03 square metres, cost 2,947,458.54 euros.
