Andorra's preliminary consumer price index for January 2026 registered a year-on-year rate of 2.5%, down from 2.7% in December 2025, according to the statistics department's advance indicator released Monday.

This estimate, based on roughly 98% of January prices supplemented by prior-month figures for remaining series, also marks a decline from January 2025's 2.7%. The moderation stems mainly from falling transport costs, with lesser influences from lower prices in food and non-alcoholic beverages, as well as housing, water, gas, electricity, and other fuels.

Spain's advance CPI for the month came in at 2.4%, a five-tenth drop from December 2025's 2.9%. France's data remain pending, scheduled for release on Tuesday, February 3.

The indicator offers an early gauge of price trends but is subject to revision; final figures will appear on February 17.
