Andorra la Vella Appoints New Tourism and Commerce Coordinator

Andorra la Vella's local government anticipates a boost to economic growth following the appointment of a new coordinator for tourism and commerce.

Sergi González, the parish's lead consul from the Enclar communal majority, announced the hire of Marta Marinello, who will take up the role on 1 January 7. She replaces Susagna Venable, a commercial promoter who stepped down recently for personal reasons after serving effectively as an advisor and business animator.

González praised Venable's contributions, including initiatives such as "El comerç és capital" and "Cuinem el futur d’Andorra la Vella." He noted that several local merchants have expressed their gratitude for her efforts.

Unlike her predecessor, Marinello brings a distinct profile, with training in tourism and extensive experience managing teams focused on gastronomy and hospitality. She will oversee four key municipal areas: tourism, business and commerce, the Congress Centre, and BiciLab. According to González, she will work above the heads of service and area managers in these domains, providing essential coordination and structure.

The consul emphasised that this organisational enhancement is vital for driving Andorra la Vella's economic development, which he views as a lever to strengthen the entire parish. Enclar prioritises such measures to foster overall progress.
