Key Points
- Imports hit €1,997M in 2025, +8.6% from €1,843M in 2024; highest since 1993.
- Spain tops at €1,158M (58%), down 1.1 pts but up long-term from 37.5% in 1993.

Andorra's imports reached a record high of €1,997 million in 2025, up 8.6% from €1,838 million in 2023 and €1,843 million in 2024, according to official statistics.
Spain retained its dominant position as the top supplier, accounting for 58% of the total value at €1,158 million. This marked a slight 1.1 percentage point drop from 59.1% in 2024 but reversed a five-point decline from the previous year. Spain's lead has held since the early 1990s, when it overtook France; over the past 30 years, its share has risen 21.5 points from 37.5% in 1993.
France, the second-largest source, slipped to 9.9% or €198 million, down 0.9 points from 10.8% in 2023 and continuing a long-term decline that began in 1993. That year, France held 35.5% of imports, nearly matching Spain's share. Factors include Spain's integration into the European economic market, which expanded its product range, easier border transport from the south, and the poor condition of roads from France—sometimes closed in winter. The growing Spanish-origin population in Andorra has also played a role.
Germany ranked third with €172 million (8.6%, up 0.4 points from 2024), followed by Italy at €99 million (4.9%). China placed fifth with €69 million (3.4%), the United Kingdom sixth at €39 million (1.9%), the United States at €32 million (1.5%), and an unspecified country eighth with €29 million (1.4%).
The 2025 figures reflect moderated inflation compared to 2022, with growth driven mainly by higher volumes rather than price surges. These are the highest import values since records began in 1993.
