Andorra's active job seekers reached 238 by the end of February 2026, up 5.8% from 225 in January but down 0.4% from 239 a year earlier, according to Statistics Department data released Thursday.

Of these, 206 were seeking better positions, a 6.8% monthly drop from January's 221 but a 3% rise from 200 in February 2025. There were also 76 service job seekers. Job offers fell 4.8% to 1,440 from 1,512 the prior month and declined 1.6% from 1,463 in February 2025. The Employment Service facilitated 10 hires, with no temporary contracts recorded, while 65 registrants found work on their own.

Unemployment benefit recipients rose 10% to 11 from January but fell 15.4% from 13 the previous year. Among them, 63.6% were women, more than half were over 59, and 72.7% held Andorran nationality.

Job seeker demographics showed 88 aged 40-59, 58 aged 18-25, 49 aged 26-39, 28 over 60, and 15 under 18. By nationality, 47.1% were Andorran, 23.9% Spanish, 6.3% Portuguese, 3.8% French, and 18.9% other. Some 81.5% had been unemployed for less than six months, with 8% out of work for over a year. Demand focused on administrative roles and service, restaurant, and sales positions, while offers centered on skilled trades in industry and construction.

Over the previous four months, adjusted figures indicated a modest increase in job seekers (+1.7%) and offers (+1.9%). Public administrations hired 14 people, with 14 more through private-sector promotion programs and six via targeted employment initiatives.

Earlier December 2025 data recorded 49,409 salaried workers, up 2.1% from 48,414 a year before. The average monthly salary climbed 4.7% to €3,272.44, with a median of €2,298.61—70.2% of the average. The most common salary range stayed at €1,900-€2,000.

Provisional January 2026 data showed 49,082 salaried workers, a 1.9% yearly gain, with the median advanced salary up 4.9% to €2,194.74 and average advanced salary rising €101.88 to €2,688.97. Total salary mass increased 5.9% to €131.98 million.
