Andorra Telecom Wins Special Prize at Zapping Awards for Child Online Safety Service

Andorra Telecom received the Special Prize at the 31st Zapping Awards for its free Internet Protegit service, which safeguards children online through mobile and home Wi-Fi networks.

The jury described the initiative as pioneering, bold, and vital for society and families. Organised by the Associació de Consumidors Audiovisuals de Catalunya, the awards recognise top-quality audiovisual entertainment from 2025. They stand out by emphasising content excellence over audience figures, with consumers voting for finalists and a specialist panel—led by association president Anna Plans—selecting winners in 13 categories: 10 by public ballot and three by jury decision, including Special, Values, and Zapping d’Or.

The ceremony occurred on 5 March at Barcelona's Auditori de L’Illa Diagonal. Inés Martí, Andorra Telecom’s corporate social responsibility manager, collected the award onstage. She expressed gratitude to the association and underscored the company’s firm commitment to protecting minors in digital environments, which led to the service’s launch in 2024.

Users can enable Internet Protegit simply via the Andorra Telecom app, website, or by dialling 115. The operator intends to continue fostering digital wellbeing across society, especially by equipping families with resources to oversee their children’s online activity.
