Andorra Telecom has won the Special Prize at the 31st Zapping Awards for its free Internet Protegit service, which protects children online via mobile and home Wi-Fi networks.

The jury praised the initiative as pioneering, bold, and essential for society and families. The awards ceremony took place on 5 March at Barcelona's Auditori de L’Illa Diagonal. Organised by the Associació de Consumidors Audiovisuals de Catalunya, the Zapping Awards honour the best quality audiovisual entertainment from 2025. Unlike many sector awards, they prioritise content excellence over ratings, with consumers selecting finalists in each category and a specialist jury—chaired by association president Anna Plans—choosing winners across 13 categories: 10 by public vote and three by the jury, including Special, Values, and Zapping d’Or.

Launched in 2024, Internet Protegit helps address child safety in digital spaces. Customers activate it easily through the Andorra Telecom app, website, or by calling 115. Inés Martí, the company’s corporate social responsibility manager, accepted the award on stage. She thanked the association and highlighted Andorra Telecom’s strong dedication to safeguarding minors online, which drove the service’s development for both mobile and home networks.

The operator plans to keep advancing digital wellbeing across society, particularly by supporting families with tools to guide their children’s internet use.
