Canillo Finance Director Norbert Pérez Joins Andorran Social Security Fund
Norbert Pérez is leaving his role as finance director at Canillo parish council to join CASS's financial services team after passing their selection.
Key Points
- Pérez joined Canillo in July 2024 after 1.5 years; previously headed accounting at MoraBanc for 8 years.
- Views CASS role as more attractive; career started at Cevalls.
- Second senior Canillo departure: urban planning head Beatriu Candela also resigning soon.
- CASS bolstering staff in finance, legal, medical amid recent process changes.
Norbert Pérez, the current finance director for the Canillo parish council, will leave his post in the coming days to join the financial services team at the Andorran Social Security Fund (CASS).
Pérez, who joined the Canillo administration in July 2024 after more than a year and a half on the job, successfully completed the selection process for the role at the public corporation. Sources indicate he views the CASS offer as more appealing than his current position.
His professional background is rooted in financial management and control. Prior to Canillo, Pérez spent eight years at MoraBanc, rising to head of accounting. Before that, he worked for two years at Andorra Telecom, following a longer stint at Banc Sabadell d'Andorra. His career in Andorra began at Cevalls.
This departure marks the second high-level exit from Canillo's administration in a short period. Just days ago, the imminent resignation of Beatriu Candela, head of urban planning, was announced.
Meanwhile, the CASS has been actively strengthening key positions across its structure, including in legal, financial, medical control, and sanitary areas. Recent process changes at the institution have prompted it to recruit new professionals to fill these roles.
