Circles House La Serra coliving and entrepreneurship hub delayed; pilot aimed for next spring
Conversion of the Masia La Serra d'Auvinyà farm into a 32-room boutique coliving and entrepreneurship centre is behind schedule, with a pilot phase.
Key Points
- Pilot earliest next spring; initial partial opening missed last September; pilot expected to last 6–12 months and could slip to summer.
- Initial phase: 32 rooms; full completion could yield ~160 places if both phases finish and double rooms filled.
- 25,000 m² estate, 3,500 m² built: amenities include restaurant by Fabián León, workspaces, gym, sauna and outdoor amphitheatre.
- Backers say project is financially viable; fundraising opened via tokenization on portio.capital with contributions from about €40.
Work on converting the old farm at Masia La Serra d'Auvinyà into Circles House La Serra, a boutique coliving and entrepreneurship hub, is progressing but much more slowly than originally planned. Promoters say the complex will open only when the facilities and service standards are fully ready. Initial partial opening had been scheduled for last September; the current earliest target for a pilot phase is next spring, although that could slip into summer. The pilot is expected to last six to twelve months.
The basic structure is largely in place, but substantial finishing work remains: cladding, installations and interior fittings. The site, which was once intended as an academy for private security training, has been reimagined. When it opens, the centre will initially have 32 rooms and will keep the project’s original split: roughly half of the offering aimed at long-term residents—many connected to international digital entrepreneurship—and the other half directed at the local public through gastronomic and leisure proposals. If both planned phases are completed and all double rooms are occupied, maximum capacity would reach about 160 places.
Promoters highlight the 25,000-square-metre estate and the 3,500 square metres of built space across several floors. The grounds will include terraces, gardens, parking and points to facilitate mobility for guests. Renders and materials are visible on-site while installation work continues.
Financially, the project’s backers say viability is not threatened by the delay. Pere Augé Jr., one of the national promoters, says the project has “economic flexibility and financial capacity.” To broaden ownership, the team has launched a tokenization campaign through the digital platform portio.capital, allowing contributions from about €40 up to several tens of thousands of euros.
Circles House La Serra aims to foster healthy, creative experiences, community work and entrepreneurship. Public-facing elements will include a restaurant planned to be run by chef Fabián León; other spaces will be reserved for residents. Work areas will be furnished in neutral, modern tones, while other corners will feature more adventurous decor intended to stimulate creative inspiration. The stated goal is to offer not just a place to live but a setting that helps people cultivate skills and collaborate.
The facility will be equipped with aerothermal heating and cooling, and large windows are being added to increase natural light. Planned amenities include multiple kitchens, a dining room seating around forty people, bathrooms, laundry, gym, sauna, a multifunctional indoor hall and an outdoor amphitheatre. The promoters describe the concept as “modern luxury”: attractive and striking where appropriate, but primarily functional.
