**MoraBanc Group** has registered the official name change of Banco Europeo de Finanzas (BEF) to MoraBanc in Spain, advancing its strategic plan through 2027.
The Andorran banking group confirmed the rebranding in a statement released today, with the entity now operating under the MoraBanc name at Jorge Manrique 12 street address. This completes the full acquisition of BEF from its sole shareholder, Unicaja S.A. The move aligns with prior steps, including the November 2024 purchase of a majority stake in Tressis and Tressis SV's absorption of MoraWealth SV in 2025.
MoraBanc in Spain now features a strengthened governance structure. Juan María Nin chairs the board of directors, and José Miguel Maté, Tressis's CEO, oversees the project's development. Manuel Aguilera continues as general manager, a position he has held at BEF for 13 years.
Key new appointments include Fernando Vallcanera as risks director, bringing over 17 years of experience in banking and risk management at firms such as BBVA and UBS across national and international operations. Beatriz Herrero joins as financial director, with more than 15 years in financial services at Ernst & Young, specializing in audits of regulated entities in Spain and other EU countries. Gustau Yubero serves as head of internal audit, and Gregorio Aranda leads the banking platform.
The roadmap targets full banking operations in Spain by 2027, following the integration of Tressis. These enhancements support the group's expansion goals in the Spanish market.
