### New AI Tool Tailored for Andorran Law Launched for Legal Professionals

Andorran lawyers and legal experts now have access to Corpus, a specialised AI platform designed exclusively for the country's unique legal system. The tool addresses a key gap in general AI services, which often mix up Andorran law with Spanish or French legislation, leading to potentially serious errors.

Developers behind Corpus told *El Periòdic* that the idea stemmed from common frustrations in daily practice. Professionals frequently turn to tools like ChatGPT for quick answers on specific laws, only to receive confident but incorrect references to foreign rules. "Our legal framework is distinct from Spain's and France's, and no generic tool handles it well," they noted. After adapting advanced AI models to Andorran sources, early tests felt like consulting "the best lawyer in Andorra, available 24/7 via chat."

The platform draws from a comprehensive, custom-built database covering over 800 active regulations, more than 15,000 court rulings and orders, and hundreds of binding queries. It includes qualified and ordinary laws, decrees, and regulations since 1982; decisions from the Constitutional Court, Supreme Court, Corts courts, and Batllia; over 500 binding consultations and technical notes from the Tax and Borders Department; and Andorra's 22 double taxation treaties. The database updates weekly to capture new legislation and judgments, currently spanning about 90% of active Andorran law.

Users query in natural language, as they would a colleague, without needing special syntax. The system identifies key legal concepts, scans the database, and delivers responses with precise citations—such as specific laws, articles, rulings, or queries—in seconds for simple questions or up to two minutes for complex ones. This setup minimises AI "hallucinations" by grounding answers solely in verified Andorran documents.

Built on Anthropic's Claude model with a custom layer linking it to the local database, Corpus required close collaboration between legal and tech experts. Data privacy is prioritised: user queries remain fully private, unreadable, unstored, and unused for AI training, in line with Andorran regulations.

While aimed first at law firms, the tool suits tax advisors, accountants, notaries, company legal departments, and public bodies. Access is rolling out progressively, with a free one-week trial available. No technical training is needed—professionals can start querying immediately.
