Ordino Arcalís opened the 2025–26 winter season today, a week ahead of the planned 5 December start, after recent natural snowfall and work by technical teams. The opening is partial: pistes in the Coma area are in service and the six‑seat detachable chairlift at La Coma, the Tristaina gondola and the Orris surface lift are running.

Catering and guest services are operational. Restaurant La Coma, Fast Food La Coma and the L’Hortell café are open, and the ski school and rental shops have started operating. Holders of Grandvalira Resorts season passes — Andorra Pass, Nord Pass, Mountain Pass or Forfet Extraescolar — can already use the facilities.

A day pass is being offered at a reduced price of €35 for today and tomorrow; these promotional tickets are available only at the L’Hortell ticket office. Grandvalira says the day‑ticket price will be adjusted as additional pistes and lifts are brought into service.

Weather forecasts point to possible new precipitation in the coming days and temperatures favourable for artificial snowmaking. Grandvalira is assessing day‑to‑day whether to open more sectors this weekend and will expand the skiable area progressively as conditions allow.

Grandvalira Resorts says it has invested €39 million this season, including €11 million specifically in snowmaking and piste innivation. Upgrades include new reservoirs (such as La Coma d’Arcalís and the Vaquer lake), 53 new snow cannons and the replacement of 118 older units with models that consume substantially less energy, measures intended to improve coverage and reduce resource use.

With this early, partial opening, Ordino Arcalís is once again the first resort in Andorra to start the season, reinforcing its reputation for reliable snow conditions tied to its high‑altitude location in the Ordino valleys.
