Willyrex Plans Potential Exit from Andorra After 8 Years

Spanish content creator Willyrex, who has lived in Andorra for about eight years, says he wants the option to leave the country in the future, even as he expresses fondness for his time there.

In a recent podcast interview, the YouTuber—whose real name is Guillermo Díaz—revealed plans to sell one of his properties in Andorra to keep his departure straightforward. "I want to sell another apartment I have in Andorra and have my bags packed to leave," he said, stressing that no firm timeline exists. "It might happen tomorrow or in fifteen years."

Willyrex praised Andorra as an "incredible place" and said he would love to stay. However, he voiced some disillusionment with the dynamic between residents and authorities. "For me, a government, a country, has to know how to take care of you," he remarked.

His comments have sparked discussion on social media amid Andorra's growing appeal to Spanish influencers and content creators over recent years. The principality has become a popular base for such figures seeking its tax advantages and quality of life, though Willyrex's remarks highlight underlying tensions for some long-term residents.
