Encamp's municipal library hosted a roundtable discussion titled *Novetats literàries d’Andorra* on Saturday, bringing together seven authors to showcase recent Andorran literary works ahead of Sant Jordi. The event, organised by Encamp council and the Associació d’Editors d’Andorra, ended with a book-signing session that allowed direct interaction between writers and readers.

Culture councillor Joan Sans described the gathering as a deliberate effort to build connections among authors, publishers and the public. He said the main aim was to bring recent books and their creators together, moving them "from the shelves" so readers could chat with writers, discuss the works and receive personal dedications. Held in a relaxed tertúlia format with a light breakfast, the session created an informal atmosphere for sharing ideas and experiences around literature. Sans called it a "meeting moment" that strengthens ties in the book world.

The initiative forms part of pre-Sant Jordi activities, a key date for the publishing sector. Sans noted the strong reception to the first edition encouraged its repetition, adding: "We think it’s a very pleasant format." He also emphasised its role in highlighting local writers and celebrating "the strength of Andorran literature".

Participating authors were Laura Tomàs, Jan Arimany, Joan Peruga, Fabiola Sofia Masegosa, Miquel Àngel Català, Joan Martínez Benazet and Èric Jover. Each gave a short overview of their books before signing copies.

Debut author Laura Tomàs, whose *Matermorfosis* was a finalist for the Ictineu awards as best fantastic collection, shared her surprise at its publication. Published by Medusa after editor David Galvez spotted potential in one of her stories, she called the process "wonderful" and organic, with readers' positive response as an unexpected gift. Living in Barcelona, Tomàs expressed excitement for her first Sant Jordi in Andorra: "It’s a party... I’m eager to see how it works here, with authors signing across parishes all day."
