The Andorran government has launched two public tenders to facilitate the relocation of the National Archive to the annex of the former Hotel Rosaleda, the current home of the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, with the move targeted for completion before year's end.
At the proposal of Culture Minister Mònica Bonell, the Council of Ministers approved the tenders: one for services to transport equipment, materials and documentary holdings from the archive's existing site, and another for supplying and installing furniture in the new space. Companies can submit bids through the public procurement platform after the notices appear in the BOPA, with proposals due by 24 September at 2pm.
The shift will consolidate all ministry departments and services under one roof in the former Hotel Rosaleda complex, finalising a relocation process that started in 2020. The National Archive will occupy the annex, previously used by the Centre de Català, which relocated last September to the ground floor of an affordable public housing building at René Baulard 9 in Encamp—formerly the Hotel Hermus.
