The Escaldes-Engordany Social Action department has completed the first half of 2026 for its Empodera’t programme, with 157 participants registered across a dozen workshops and training sessions. Among them, 137 were women and 20 were men.
Directed mainly at women to promote personal development, support networks, and social cohesion, the programme remains open to men to support shared wellbeing and community involvement. Activities covered wellbeing, personal skills, and digital tools during the initial six months.
Standout sessions included a women’s self-defence masterclass with 26 participants in a single event. Across multiple sessions of the same type, outdoor tai chi topped the list at 38 attendees, followed by Canva and digital tools workshops with 24, yoga sessions with 21, sourdough bread-making with 20, natural cosmetics with 15, digital certificates and electronic signatures with six, and coaching with seven.
Comú officials highlighted the solid turnout and participant engagement, noting that feedback and ideas gathered will inform planning for the second half of 2026. This approach aims to refine offerings based on user preferences and reinforce the programme’s role in personal growth.
