Andorra Names Winners of 12th Sergi Mas Awards for Young Artists

The Andorran government has named the winners of the 12th edition of the Sergi Mas Awards, a visual arts competition for artists aged 14 to 35, with a boosted prize fund of €9,000 to encourage participation and professional growth.

Organized by the Youth Promotion and Volunteering Area of the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, the contest awarded cash prizes in three age-based categories, alongside two €1,500 Sergi Mas scholarships for art school fees, training or supplies.

Noemí Rodea claimed first prize of €600 in Category A (14-17 years) for Llum de memòria. Alexandra Vicente and Laia Solé each received €200 for second place with Construïm o destruïm? and Gris i apagat, però veus aquella llum?, respectively, while Roc Tugues took €100 for third with No és feina física, és càrrega mental.

In Category B (18-24 years), Arnau Sánchez won €1,000 for Sergi Mas i el seu món. Anna Monegal earned €600 for Alié in second, and Aisha Pires got €300 for Entre esquerdes i flors in third.

Category C (25-35 years) saw Emma Regada secure €1,500 for Qui queda?, with Myriam Grau taking €900 for L’esmorzar de forquilla and Pol Llovera €600 for Què has fet?.

The jury also granted the €1,500 scholarships to Roc Tugues (No és feina física, és càrrega mental) and Alexandra Vicente (Construïm o destruïm?).

All winning works will feature in a traveling exhibition starting at the Rosaleda hotel in Encamp, the ministry's base, for display nationwide.
