Andorra Launches Giant Board Game Simulating Adult Life Challenges for Youth

Escaldes-Engordany commune and Carnet Jove Andorra will host "Andorra en Joc" on September 11, a free giant board game designed to immerse young people aged 16 to 30 in the everyday economic and social challenges of adult life.

The event runs from 4:30 pm to 8:30 pm at the new green space in Prat del Roure. Up to 16 participants per session will form four teams of four, navigating a life-sized board inspired by classic games. Players manage resources amid hurdles in housing, employment, health, leisure, and routine expenses such as monthly payments, unexpected costs, and daily necessities.

Teams start with distinct social and economic profiles, highlighting how initial circumstances shape decisions and outcomes. Imprevistos like sudden expenses add realism, prompting choices on stability and resource allocation.

Each 50- to 60-minute round concludes with a 10- to 15-minute guided discussion on youth inequalities, barriers, and opportunities in Andorra. Organizers plan up to three sessions, with registration available through the Carnet Jove Andorra platform and walk-ins accepted for remaining spots. All participants receive a complimentary one-year Carnet Jove card.
