Sant Julià de Lòria Launches Entresons Music Series Pairing Emerging Andorran Artists

Sant Julià de Lòria has launched Entresons, a new music series this autumn pairing emerging Andorran artists with established performers in collaborative concerts.

The initiative aims to create a space for growth and exchange among local musicians, particularly young talents, by having them share stages and perspectives with experienced acts from Andorra and abroad. Culture councillor Teresa Areny described it as more than a standard concert cycle, focusing on opportunities for collaborations that extend beyond performances. "We want to offer them chances to work together, gain new experiences and grow," she said.

Three events are scheduled, all at 20:30 in the recently reopened Centre Cultural i de Congressos Lauredià. The series opens on Friday, 16 October, with pianist and composer Chico Pérez joined by the Orquestra Nacional Clàssica d’Andorra (ONCA). Pérez's team had planned a show at the venue before a fire there, and preparations began in 2022 to resume once reconstruction finished, according to Laura Rogé, head of the parish's culture department.

On 13 November, Marc Parrot and Quartet Brossa will present their new album El frec i la bala, accompanied by Andorran artists Lluís Cartes and Veu Silent. Parrot expressed enthusiasm about debuting the project in Andorra, praising the venue and the natural collaboration with locals.

The final concert on 4 December features singer Mar Pujol with Lauredó musician Eugènia Correia performing her new project D’aquesta aigua no en beuré at Auditori Rocafort. (The other two shows are at Auditori Claror.)

Arenal stressed the role of public institutions in supporting young creators in a challenging field, calling for joint efforts to provide stages alongside veterans who can open doors. She cited Parrot's role as a producer who might spot potential in emerging acts like Correia.

Tickets cost €15 and went on sale Tuesday. Buyers of the Teatre Temporada season passes receive a free Entresons ticket to boost attendance. The €35,000 budget highlights the upgraded technical facilities at the congress centre, suitable for varied formats. Organisers expect the series to showcase Andorran talent and attract audiences.
