The "Dones d'Aigua" exhibition at Espai Caldes in Escaldes-Engordany closed with 4,080 visitors, the parish council (comú) has announced. The show ran from 16 July to 26 September.
Combining poetry and painting around the theme of water, the exhibition invited the public to explore a creative proposal tied to an element closely linked to the parish's identity and history.
Culture councillor Valentí Closa gave a positive assessment of the figures and attributed the strong turnout in part to growing interest in the Projecte Caldes, centred on Javier Balmaseda's work "L'Aigua i la Forma," which he described as one of the main draws of the historic area. Closa said that more and more people are coming to visit the space and taking the opportunity to discover the exhibitions at Espai Caldes as well.
The "Dones d'Aigua" numbers form part of a strong year for the venue. Since the start of 2026, Espai Caldes has received 8,043 visitors in total, 801 of them in September. The comú attributes the figures to public interest in the cultural programming the space hosts and defends the complementary relationship between art, heritage and cultural activity in the historic area.
