Aina Sánchez's solo show *22 Caixes* sold out both performances over the weekend at Encamp's cultural cycle, leaving audiences moved by its intimate exploration of emotions, secrets, and memories through 22 boxes.
The 22-year-old performer from Encamp placed spectators directly on stage at the Complex d’Encamp, creating a close-up experience that blended theatre, dance, object manipulation, clowning, buffoonery, rituals, and everyday materials as symbolic theatrical elements. The production mixed humour with reflective moments, earning descriptions as both surprising and emotionally resonant.
Trained at Barcelona's Institut del Teatre, Sánchez has performed in Jocand productions such as *Temps era Temps*, *Troianes*, *Amén*, and *Arrels d’Arreu*, along with theatrical tours and other stage formats. In 2022, she debuted in contemporary dance with her piece *Eclosió, soc el cos clos* as part of Encamp's Comú project *La Llançadora*. The show took shape during a four-week residency at La Feréstec this summer.
Encamp's cultural cycle continues on 7 February at 8:30pm at Ràdio Andorra with Lorena Nogal's dance piece *PICASSa*. Nogal received Spain's National Dance Award for best performer in 2024 from the Ministry of Culture, as well as the Talía Award for best female performer from the Academy of Performing Arts.
